two in a row. last night they played pretty good hockey. only a few missed passes and one really stupid penalty. <br /><p>they probably played as well as any of their best efforts this season...but it wasn't quite enough. <br /><p>and now they have to win the next 3 games. i don't think they can do it. they don't seem like they're fired up enough about the stanley cup. <br /><p>one thing edmonton has over carolina (or ANY american team for that matter) is the fans. nobody sings the national anthem louder than canadian fans. edmonton won't be able to blame fan support if they lose.</p> <br /><p after the goalie got hammered. unless conklin performs 4 out of 7 miracles i think it's safe to say edmonton won't be taking home the cup this season.</p> <br /><p able to save the team.</p> <br /><p>buffalo played pretty well considering a number of their guys were out of commission. <br /><p>i'm pretty sure they reason they lost the game was because in the last 5 minutes they kept dumping the puck into the hurricane's end. this caused them to lose control of the puck and it gave carolina the puck. it was frustrating watching it... <br /><p>of course all canadian final in the playoffs, or at least one canadian team...hopefully one that wins but i found myself annoyed at the last game between ottawa and buffalo. i was mainly annoyed at how many penalties the refs decided NOT to call for ottawa giving them a free ride. it got to the point that i started hoping ottawa would lose... <br /><p>i guess i didn't need to waste all my psychic energy /><p> my qualifications? none. i'm an 'outsider' like the blog description says.</p> <br /><p> i DID collect hockey cards back in 1972. and if i still had those i'd probably be rich. i was going to start watching hockey last season and i think i may have been the cause of the lockout for that very reason.</p> <br /><p> i've watched more hockey this season than i've ever seen since i lost track
